- Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds after coming home, after using a bathroom, before every meal, etc
- Cover your cough and sneeze with a tissue
- Limit person to person contact to necessary minimum.
- If you live in the area with cases of Covid-19, go outside only if it’s needed (necessary food shopping, going to work, etc.), do not use public transport if you don’t have to,
- Make sure you have enough food, meds and hygiene products, but do not stock up. EVERYONE should have access to basics. If you buy everything, people won’t have enough and they start to panic!
- Contact your employer and ask about their plan
- Learn about the emergency operations plan at your child’s school or childcare facility.
- If you think you have been exposed to COVID-19 and develop symptoms, such as cough, fever or difficulty breathing, call your healthcare provider/doctor/etc. for medical advice. Do not go to the hospital on your own.
- Stay informed about the local COVID-19 situation.
- Take care of the emotional health of your household members
- THINK OF OTHERS, TOO! Take care of your elderly family members, make sure they have everything they need. Do not start arguments or fights over goods! Basically don’t be an asshole!
- Keep in mind if we are able to slow the virus down from spreading, our hospitals and healthcare workers will be able to continue to take care of us.They are already overwhelmed with the situation and need our support.
